Our Caring Team
Vets
Rosario Gutierrez VM, MRCVS is our Practice Vet and soon after qualifying in 1995 she moved from Madrid to England where she has worked in Practice throughout Kent and East Sussex.
“No one wants their animal to be unwell, but their pet’s experience, when with Rosario – and her totally committed team – changes from what could be frightening and painful to trusting.
Fun in a serious situation and peaceful – often in times of great stress.
We are all fortunate to have such a good Practice to rely on.”
Shelagh
All of our veterinary staff are highly motivated and work with us to give the best care for our clients and their pets at all times.
Our vets offer services throughout the life of your pet, from initial examination and vaccination of a new puppy or kitten, through to a home visit for euthanasia when the time has come to say goodbye.
Veterinary Nurses
The nurses perform a necessary role in the practice and give very useful assistance to our veterinary surgeons. Our nurses have wide-ranging routines and work on a rota basis to ensure that help is always available. As well as assisting during consultations and operations they play a large part in the care of our hospitalised patients.
Horsebridge veterinary practice is an approved training centre for veterinary nurses. Our nurses are encouraged to follow areas of interest and to undertake continual development throughout their careers.
All our 4 qualified nurses are highly experienced with one head nurse, with 2 training coaches, and one diploma nurse.
They have very broad areas of interest, including anaesthesia of very challenging cases, intensive care; treatment and management of wounds, physiotherapy; including laser therapy in a multimodal type of cases, exotic (birds and reptiles), medicine and surgery, and intensive care.
Reception Staff
A member of our knowledgeable receptionist team is usually the first person you will talk to when you call us. They can often answer healthcare queries about you pet and all admin staff have had training in the use of preventative treatments such as flea preparations and wormers.
